Arkham City Comics – the safe haven for Comic Book Fans!

No matter what level of fandom you are, we will happily chat & showcase anything to do with comics:

Reading, collecting, suggesting, creating (drawing & writing), movies/TV, games, events. Anything!

We’ll gladly help with suggestions of material (we’re FANBOYS, first and foremost) and may have read most of the stock in store.

Mr. J & The H.N.I.C

Arkham city comics warden

The Warden

Name: Jeremy Bishop

Height: 6 ’

D.O.B: 18/09/1975

Favourite comic book characters: Daredevil, Batgirl & Catwoman

Receiving treatment for: "Still doing tests to see whats wrong with him... "

Warden of Arkham City Comics.. you may call him "Mr J ".

30+ years as a Comic Fanboy, 10+ years of those within the New Zealand Comic community/Industry - as a Retailer & Publisher.

Jeremy has been reading comics since the age of 6 and has been collecting since his mid-teens. Sadly this wayward soul could be seen hanging around the Inner-City comic stores of the 90s and hassling West Auckland stores as well.

In his early 20s he began hanging around and seem to never leave a fine establishment of sequential art, (previsous based in the surburb of Onehunga), so much so that he was offered work ... 12 odd years later he finally has struck out on his own (well with this Michel fella) and opened the safe haven for the comic fandom community of Auckland.

Arkham city comics HNIC

Name: Michel Mulipola

Height: 6’

D.O.B: 12/06/1981

Favourite comic book character: Green Lantern

Receiving treatment for: Dissociative Identity Disorder & Pathological Collecting

As well as being the Arkham City Comics H.N.I.C, Michel is also an award winning NZ comic book artist. Born and raised on the mean streets of Mangere, Michel escaped to the world of 4 colour madness and action of comic books and has been immersed in them since he was 5 years old.

He has also had over 7 years experience ‘working ’ in the comic book retail industry.

Michel suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder as he dons a mask and tights to become Liger, the Strong Style Supervillain for Impact Pro Wrestling. So be sure to be on his good side or face the wrath of Liger.

Arkham City Comics has provided the right facility to help Michel keep his madness in check. At Arkham City Comics, the inmates run the asylum.
